Humanity First Cameroon set up a shelter for homeless LGBTs, where they can stay for a period of three months.
So far, 13 people made use of this shelter. During their stay, they received psychological care to help them reintegrate into society and resume their social life. Family mediation resulted in more acceptance by parents, and in some cases they were even allowed to move back into their family home.
