The Youth Empowerment Society (YES) in Uganda is championing LGBT+ youth inclusion through the project Inclusive Sports for Change. This initiative combines sports, health services, and environmental justice to foster talent, enhance healthcare access, and promote sustainability. YES is focused on empowering Uganda’s LGBT+ community by leveraging football and netball to create opportunities for personal growth and advocacy.
Founded to support rural LGBT+ populations, YES provides a platform for social and economic inclusion. By addressing vital issues such as HIV/AIDS prevention and environmental awareness, the organization seeks to bridge gaps in healthcare and create more inclusive spaces for LGBT+ youth. These efforts will not only empower participants but also foster a supportive, understanding community in rural Uganda.
