TRIUMPH UGANDA

The Robust Initiative for Promoting Human Rights (TRIUMPH UGANDA) is an organization committed to supporting vulnerable and marginalized groups in Uganda. Their project, Bonding Against Agitation Project (BAAP), aims to establish a Temporary Healing Centre (THC) in Mbale City for leaders from vulnerable and marginalized groups from the rural districts of Eastern Uganda. This space will provide these leaders with rest, mental health support, and a safe environment to recover from the ongoing persecution they face.

TRIUMPH UGANDA was founded in 2014 to combat discrimination, advocate for human rights, and provide access to justice and healthcare for vulnerable and marginalized groups. With Uganda’s increasingly hostile environment, leaders of the organization are often targeted, facing psychological abuse, threats, and burnout. Advocacy work can be grueling, and a Temporary Healing Centre is a safe space for activists from vulnerable and marginalized groups to heal, regain resilience, and plan their vital advocacy work.

The BAAP project enables TRIUMPH UGANDA to furnish the center with essential amenities, provide counseling services, and offer mental health therapy sessions. This project ensures that activists from vulnerable and marginalized groups can continue their fight for equality while safeguarding their own well-being.
