Trans Intersex Androgynous Movement of Namibia (TIAMON) is a community-based organization from Namibia. It aims to empower trans-diverse, intersex, and androgynous people.
Currently, there is a lack of spaces for trans-diverse people, especially in rural areas. Also, many trans* people have difficult family relationships, due to their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Our funding enables TIAMON to empower trans-diverse people on sexuality and gender diversity. Also, they will include their families in these activities, to further increase the capacity of the community and their well-being.
Furthermore, they will organize community dialogues, and produce posters and brochures to distribute among their network. These activities aim to broaden people’s understanding of gender diversity, as well as increase trans* visibility.
