Tanzania Feminist Network (TFN) is a membership-based coalition of women and ITGNC-led organizations committed to building feminist leadership within Tanzania’s queer spaces. Their project, Defining the Network’s Strategic Direction, is designed to strengthen governance structures, align policies, and improve access to resources for grassroots feminist groups working under challenging legal and social conditions.
Operating in a country where LGBTIQ+ people face severe discrimination and legal restrictions, TFN envisions a future where women and ITGNC individuals can thrive, lead, and shape decision-making spaces. By mobilizing marginalized voices and fostering collaboration, TFN works to challenge harmful gender norms, more effectively advocate for human rights, and create a supportive environment for feminist leadership in Tanzania.
