Although same-sex sexual relations are legal in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, LGBTI individuals still face prejudice, discrimination and violence.

In an attempt to counter this development, HODSAS will not only professionalize the communication skills of 40 LGBTI community trainers, but also use radio broadcasts to educate and influence the general public on LGBTI topics. Additionally, 4 solidarity committees will be set up to strengthen the community itself and a reporting system will be set up to registrate and publish cases of anti-LGBTI violence.
