Pelangi Campaign is a Malaysian LGBTQ advocacy collective. They focus on advancing LGBTQ rights through public engagement and workshops.
We can keep it short and simple: Putting it mildly, Malaysia is not a nice country for LGBTQ people to live in. In the past, police and government officials raided a nightclub in the country’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. Also, a lesbian couple was caught having sex in a car. They were sentenced to caning (flogging) by a Sharia (Islamic religious) court.
Pelangi Campaign tries to assist people in case of emergencies, but they are lacking an emergency shelter where community members can find refuge. We fund Pelangi Campaign, so they can set up such a shelter facility. Additionally, several services will be offered, such as counseling and legal support.
