Occasionally when our foundation board members are on private travel, they have the opportunity to meet up with organizations that built something great with the funding the PlanetRomeo Foundation provided.
In November 2025, our Board Secretary Daniel was able to get together with Alex and Vicente of Calistenia LGBT+ Mexico. This group received funding in 2023 and built up a calisthenics sports group in Mexico City that helped eradicate barriers for the LGBT+ community to do sports in Mexico City.
Two years later, the grassroots movement they started has grown to seven LGBT+ calisthenics groups across Mexico. This is a wonderful example of how sports can be a true community builder. With their determination, they are bringing people together and strengthening our community. Not only are they knocking down barriers but are also helping people stay fit while having fun and making friends.
