LGBTI+ Shelter Initiative in Armenia runs a shelter for LGBTI people in Armenia.
The shelter is functional since June 2016 and provided refuge to approximately 50 LGBTIs so far. Priority is given to people between 18 and 30 years old.
In Armenia, many LGBTI+ persons are physically abused at home, are forced into getting “cured” or are banished and left with no safe place to go. Our funding enables LGBTI+ Shelter Initiative in Armenia to further continue and expand its shelter services to another 30 LGBTI people.
