Kamuli Community Brass Band, based in Kamuli District, Uganda, is dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ youth and vulnerable children through music and community engagement. Their project, “Vision for Opportunities, Institutional Change, and Empowerment,” provides holistic solutions, creating a support system where LGBTQ+ individuals can discover their potential and contribute to society.
The organization advocates for the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals and vulnerable youth in Uganda by offering brass band education. Through their program, they hope to foster social and economic empowerment while addressing mental health, addiction recovery, and sexual and reproductive health needs. Their vision is a world where LGBTQ+ people are affirmed and included in all aspects of society.
