Their project, “Institutionalizing LGBTQ Youth Diversity and Inclusion In Sport and Culture,” aims to create inclusive programs for LGBTQ adolescents, fostering engagement in sports and cultural activities while reducing abuse risks.
The organization advocates for the sexual and reproductive health and rights of young LGBTQ+ people, creating safe, supportive spaces for their development. Their vision is to enhance self-confidence and social inclusion, addressing issues like homelessness, violence, and discrimination within the region’s hostile environment.
With continued support, Equilibrium Initiative Nigeria plans to develop a comprehensive strategy for LGBTQ youth inclusion in sport and culture, establish a community center in Warri, and create a safe space for over 200 youth annually. This will help them empower marginalized youth through accessible, transformative activities.
