Entrepreneur Empowerment and Advocacy-Health (EEA-H) is an organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and welfare of Intersex, Transgender, and Gender Non-Conforming (ITGNC) refugees and asylum seekers in Kenya. Their project, ITGNC Refugee Safe House Campaign, provides emergency shelter, legal aid, and economic empowerment opportunities for individuals who have had to flee persecution due to their gender identity.
To create a safe and stable environment for ITGNC individuals, EEA-H uses the Entrepreneurial mindset to aid and empower the young people it protects. The organization provides paralegal training, as well as training on all aspects of the pig and poultry farming business. The goal is to provide sustainable skills and resources for self-sufficiency.
The organization also collaborates with local and international partners to provide legal aid and emergency health services while addressing issues like substance abuse and social discrimination.
