As a result of the recent terrible events taking place in Chechnya, several individuals and organizations in the LGBTI community have reached out to us, asking if we would consider doing something to help the situation in Chechnya.
After careful consideration, the Foundation Management Board decided to make an exception to our standard procedures and give a one-off grant of € 5,000 to the Russian LGBT Network.
The Russian LGBT Network is widely known as a ‘go to’ organization with respect to LGBT rights in the region. With this grant, Russian LGBT Network will start the redevelopment of their website in order to increase security and their support capacity towards their partners and partner organizations, including those in Chechnya.
