Cangkang Queer is an Indonesian youth-led LGBT organization that fights discrimination based on sexual orientation, sexual identity, gender identity or social class.
With our funding, they organized a camp for LGBT youth from 5 North Sumatran districts in October 2015. The camp’s program included educational activities around LGBT themes as well as training on leadership and organizational skills. By way of these camps, Cangkang Queer hopes to inspire LGBT youngsters and motivate them to build an LGBT movement in their own district.
