The Association of Russian-Speaking Intersex People (ARSI) raises awareness about intersex people and aims to increase their visibility.
In order to achieve this, non-discriminatory information about intersex condition is shared, as well as information on what challenges intersex people are facing. The organization is located in New York, USA.
Although there are specialized medical sites on intersex topics available in Russia, intersex people are mainly viewed from a general pathology perspective and no information on intersex human rights is provided. ARSI wants to change this by developing a website for and about intersex people where information on the full spectrum of intersex issues and topics is given. Psychosocial support and consults for intersex people will also be provided online. The site will be a source for all those interested in this topic.
